For Saurel, painting was never a necessity but a true calling.

The sharp, fragmented shapes reflect the rhythm and improvisation of the city's rich jazz scene, where music flows freely like the angular lines of the instrument. The bold strokes and dynamic composition invite the viewer to feel the pulse of the night, evoking the soul of Haitian jazz.
