While hummingbird are often praised for their beauty and radiance,The wanganègès has been known to be used as love potion in haitian vodoo practices to gain a woman’s affection.

The Hibiscus or “choublak” (in Haitian Kreyol) is the unofficial national flower of Haiti. In the tourism industry, The choublak is used instead of stars to rate hospitality lodges
